World Day for International Justice

tarot | zoomtarot | tarotbyemail | emailtarot | tarot readings | tarot reader | Tarot London | corporate tarot | business tarot

Every year on July 17, World Day for International Justice is observed all around the world with the aim of promoting international criminal justice and supporting the work of the International Criminal Court.

The Aim of International Justice Day is to unite everyone who wants to support justice and promote victims’ rights. It is to help prevent serious crimes and those that put the peace, security and well-being of the world at risk.

Many people come to me for a Tarot reading because they feel they’ve suffered an injustice and want to know what the cards have to say about that. Sometimes the tarot shows an injustice has taken place that the querant (the person asking me) hasn’t acknowledged – or maybe isn’t even aware of it.

I’ve had an occasion where someone wanted me to help them manifest an injustice against an ex-partner – I don’t get involved with all that – what goes around comes around!!

World Day for International Justice is an important day and I don’t intend to trivialise it, but it seemed a shame to let it pass by without a mention of the Justice card.

This trump card represents legal matters and can indicate a court case, but it also highlights that there could be things needed to be learned. If this card shows up in your reading it can be reminding you that it’s about knowing the consequences of your actions, and getting what you deserve.

Want more information about the Justice card, or any other Tarot cards? I’m pleased to offer a range of spreads, including traditional Celtic Cross ten-card readings, at various price ranges, all via email or face-to-face across Zoom or WhatsApp.

And, if you’re planning a party — whether it’s an intimate get-together or a large-scale event, consider adding the excitement of Tarot readings. I’d love to chat with you, so to find out more, please email info@tarotbyemail.com.

Can the Tarot help me to stop making the same mistakes in relationships?

tarot | zoomtarot | tarotbyemail | emailtarot | tarot readings | tarot reader | Tarot London | corporate tarot | business tarotYes!! That’s the short answer!

The Tarot can certainly give guidance to help you. But what are the mistakes you’re making, then making again and again?

Whilst it would be great to be able to answer this on a personal level, it’s impossible to do so in a blog and without knowing the context, However, I can certainly provide you with a fictional scenario using Tarot card archetypes to address the question of how to stop repetitive relationship mistakes.

Let’s imagine a scenario where someone is struggling with repeated relationship mistakes and seeks guidance from the Tarot. We’ll do a seven card spread:

Situation: The Seeker keeps repeating relationship mistakes

The Seeker approaches the Tarot reader seeking guidance on how to break free from repeating the same relationship mistakes. They’ve noticed a pattern of rushing into relationships without considering their own needs and boundaries, leading to disappointment and heartache.

Card 1: The Fool (Reversed) – Representing Past Mistakes

The Fool in reverse suggests that the Seeker has been acting impulsively, jumping into relationships without a clear sense of direction. They’ve been repeating the same naive mistakes, not learning from their past experiences.

Card 2: The Hanged Man – Reflecting on the Situation

The Hanged Man indicates the need for a new perspective. The Seeker must take a step back and suspend their usual approach. It’s time to reflect on their patterns and consider how they’ve been contributing to their own cycle of disappointments.

Card 3: The Chariot – Taking Control

The Chariot represents the Seeker’s ability to take control of their impulses. They must harness their energy and determination to move forward intentionally. This card suggests setting clear intentions before rushing into a new relationship.

Card 4: The Lovers – Exploring Self-Love

The Lovers card encourages the Seeker to cultivate self-love and self-awareness. Before seeking love from others, they need to understand their own desires, values, and boundaries. This self-love will guide them toward healthier relationships.

Card 5: Temperance – Finding Balance

Temperance advises the Seeker to find balance in their approach to relationships. They should blend their desires with patience and careful consideration. Taking things slowly and allowing connections to develop naturally will lead to more meaningful partnerships.

Card 6: Judgment – Learning from Mistakes

The Judgment card signifies a wake-up call and a chance for the Seeker to learn from their past mistakes. They must confront their patterns and acknowledge the role they’ve played in creating their relationship experiences. This introspection will lead to personal growth.

Card 7: The Empress – Nurturing Relationships

The Empress symbolises nurturing and abundance. The Seeker must focus on creating relationships that are built on mutual care and respect. By tending to these connections and allowing them to flourish, they can break free from their old patterns.

Remember…

In this fictional scenario, the Tarot cards serve as symbolic guides, offering insight and advice on how to stop making the same mistakes in relationships. Remember that Tarot interpretations vary widely, and the guidance provided here is just one possible interpretation.

The Kings Cards in the Tarot

Languages ranging from Albanian to Zulu each have a proverb that says something like “Every man is a king.”

So what do we know about the King cards in the Tarot deck?

tarot | zoomtarot | tarotbyemail | emailtarot | tarot readings | tarot reader | Tarot London | corporate tarot | business tarotKings represent male energy, masculine authority, and/or someone who wants to be in control. A King can also signify that the meanings of the cards in a reading are unambiguous and long-lasting.

Each King represents a different quailty, depending on his suit.  In a Tarot reading your reader will explain what he means specifically to you.

On a literal level, a King stands for a person, typically a man aged 35 or older. He likely has a strong and controlled — or controlling — personality. He’s not flighty or changeable. Instead, he’s a responsible person who wants to be the boss at his job and the provider for his family.

When a King card appears in a past position, he probably denotes your father or a father figure in your earlier life — perhaps an older brother, or a male mentor. If influenced by negative cards when in a past position, he might represent a domineering male influence from your younger days, such as a bullying male classmate or a tyrannical teacher or colleague.

If dealt in a present position, the King might represent an aspect of yourself, such as your drive to be in control, your ambitions, and your determination. He rarely represents violent upheaval or radical changes, but instead has to do with orderliness, stability, and gradual movement in a positive direction.

A King, of course, can refer to a love interest, especially a man over 35. If you’ve embarked on a new romance and a King shows up, it’s generally a good sign. Be careful, however — he can represent an ideal choice and stand in contrast to the man you’ve chosen. He might be telling you to find someone more like a King, someone stable, pleasant, successful, and in control of his life.

When a King card pops up in a future position, he probably forecasts security. He may herald the end of a state of chaos that has surrounded you. A stable future lies ahead and, if the card refers to a person, a true leader is about to enter your life. You might expect a satisfying and productive new job or hobby, or an incoming manager at work who’ll end a period of confusion. A King in a future position may also mean you’ll soon gain a clearer idea of your life’s direction.

Regardless of its position, any King nearly always bodes well. So relax, take comfort in his presence, and prepare for good times ahead!

The Tarot and Seven Hexes from an Irish Witch

The Irish occultist Tara Tine has a YouTube blog called “Diary of a Ditch Witch.” Here’s intriguing material from her recent video, “7 Excellent Irish Curses,” and some correspondences to the Tarot.

tarot | zoomtarot | tarotbyemail | emailtarot | tarot readings | tarot reader | Tarot London | corporate tarot | business tarot1. “May your house fall upon you.” This curse reminds me of the Tower card in the Tarot, which in many decks shows a turret struck by lightning. If you’ve got a leaky roof or a troublesome boiler, perhaps your ex sent this spell your way.

2. “My cat curses you.” This calls to mind the black cat at the feet of the Queen of Wands. This Queen epitomizes a witch: determined, self-confident, sexy, and powerful. You don’t want her cat to curse you. In addition, Gaelic folklore includes a figure called “Cat-sìth” (pronounced “Cat Shee-ha”), a black feline with a white chest who is a shapeshifting witch.

3. “May you be badly positioned on a windy day.” It’s the opposite of the Irish blessing: “May the wind be always at your back.” In the Tarot, the entire suit of Swords comprises the element of air, and some Swords cards carry negative meanings, especially if positioned badly.

4. “Six cartloads of graveyard clay upon you.” Several Internet pages tell how to use cemetery dirt in spells. The Tarot’s Death card typically shows no graveyard, but Judgement depicts bodies rising from coffins. These two cards aren’t always threatening, however; the former can mean the death of something negative, such as a divorce from an abusive husband, and the latter stands for new beginnings.

5. “May you have red diarrhoea.” This one is almost humorous until you consider that bloody diarrhoea is a symptom of illness, including bubonic plague. Some say the Fool card has to do with sickness, especially for those foolish or careless about their health.

6. “May the Devil make a ladder of your backbone, while picking apples in the Garden of Hell.” Of course, this calls up (literally) the Devil. That card warns against entrapment; the couple on the Rider-Waite card are in chains. It also cautions against a lack of moderation.

7. “The trees have been felled in the woods where your race lives.” Sounds like an environmentalist warning against abusing our planet’s resources. I’m reminded of the Two of Wands, which in the Rider-Waite deck shows a man standing between two sprouting staves and contemplating a globe. Fortunately, this card holds the promise of growth and prosperity—the opposite of any curse!
