tarot | zoomtarot | tarotbyemail | emailtarot | tarot readings | tarot reader | Tarot London | corporate tarot | business tarotThis Sunday is Mother’s Day – a chance to celebrate all the lovely female role models in our lives: mums, grandmothers, step-mums, aunties, big sisters, ‘work mums’ and even best friends!

Tarot cards can be interpreted in varying ways depending on the spread, timing and circumstances, and different cards may resonate more strongly with different individuals or situations. However, here are some Tarot cards that are more relevant than others for this special day:

The Empress: This card represents motherhood, nurturing, and abundance. It can symbolize a mother’s love, care, and support, and the many roles she plays in her children’s lives.

The High Priestess: This card represents intuition, wisdom, and spirituality. It can symbolize the deep connection between a mother and child, and the insights and guidance a mother may offer her children.

The Sun: This card represents joy, happiness, and warmth. It can symbolize the warmth and happiness a mother brings to her family, and the light she shines in their lives.

The Three of Cups: This card represents celebration, friendship, and community. It can symbolize the love and support of a mother’s family and friends, and the joy and gratitude that come with celebrating Mother’s Day.

The Ten of Cups: This lovely card represents harmony, fulfillment, and happiness in relationships. It can symbolize the deep love and connection between a mother and her children, and the sense of wholeness and completeness that comes from being part of a loving family.

Can the Tarot help me choose my career?

tarot | zoomtarot | tarotbyemail | emailtarot | tarot readings | tarot reader | Tarot London | corporate tarot | business tarotPeople often ask me about their career path, which is interesting for me as I worked as a recruitment consultant in London for five years before changing my own career!

Tarot can certainly be a useful tool for gaining insights and guidance on different aspects of life, including career choices. Tarot cards can offer a fresh perspective and provide valuable insights that can help you make more informed decisions. However, it’s important to note that Tarot should not be the only factor in making any important decisions about your career.

Here are a few tips on how a Tarot reading can help with your career choices:

  1. Set a clear intention: Before you start your Tarot reading, it’s important to set a clear intention for what you want to gain from it. Ask specific questions about your career path, such as “What is my true calling?” or “What steps can I take to find a fulfilling career?”
  2. Choose the right spread: There are many different Tarot spreads that can be used for career readings, such as the “Career Path Spread” or the “Job Interview Spread.” Choose a spread that resonates with you and addresses the specific questions you have about your career.
  3. Interpret the cards: Each tarot card has its own unique meaning and symbolism. Take some time to interpret the cards that come up in your reading and think about how they relate to your career goals and aspirations.
  4. Take action: Tarot can provide valuable insights and guidance, but ultimately it’s up to you to take action and make the necessary changes to achieve your career goals.

Remember that Tarot is just one tool among many that can be used to gain insights and guidance on your career path. It’s important to also seek advice from career counsellors, mentors, and other trusted sources when making important decisions about your career.

Four Tarot cards that represent marriage

tarot | zoomtarot | tarotbyemail | emailtarot | tarot readings | tarot reader | Tarot London | corporate tarot | business tarotI’m often asked by single people – and once by a woman having an affair! – whether marriage is on the cards.  In Tarot, there isn’t really a specific card that represents marriage, however, there are several cards that are associated with the concept of union and partnership, and these can be interpreted as representing marriage in a reading.

  1. The Four of Wands: This is the card that represents celebration, stability, and unity. It’s often interpreted as a symbol of a wedding, a commitment ceremony, or a celebration of a strong partnership. In some religions, people marry under a canopy; in Jewish weddings, for example, it represents a home, with the canopy being the roof.
    .
  2. The Lovers: Due to its very nature, this card can be seen as representing love, unity, and partnership. It can be interpreted as a symbol of a marriage proposal, commitment, or an important decision related to a romantic relationship. This last point is the most important, as it’s really a card of choice and, in a relationship or love reading it indicates that the querant has a choice to make.
    .
  3. The Two of Cups: This card represents emotional connection, harmony, and mutual understanding. It can indicate a strong bond between two people, and can therefore be interpreted as representing a marriage.
    .
  4. The Ten of Cups: This beautiful card represents emotional fulfilment, joy, and contentment in relationships. It can be interpreted as a symbol of a happy marriage or a harmonious family life.

.

It’s important to remember that tarot readings are highly subjective and can vary based on the individual reader and the context of the reading. These cards may not necessarily indicate marriage in every reading, and other cards may also be relevant depending on the specific situation being explored.

When the Emperor and Empress meet in your Tarot reading

tarot | zoomtarot | tarotbyemail | emailtarot | tarot readings | tarot reader | Tarot London | corporate tarot | business tarotThe Emperor and Empress are two of the most iconic tarot cards in the Rider Waite tarot deck. As the fourth and third Major Arcana cards respectively, they are both associated with power and authority, but in different ways. In this blog, we’ll explore the meanings of these two cards and what they can tell us about our lives and relationships.

The Emperor:

The Emperor is the archetypal father figure, representing authority, stability, and structure. He is depicted sitting on a throne, with a crown and scepter in his hands, surrounded by armor and weaponry. The Emperor symbolizes order and control, and he is associated with the element of fire.

When the Emperor appears in a tarot reading, it can indicate that the querent is being called to embrace their own authority and take charge of their life. This could mean asserting oneself at work or in a relationship, setting boundaries, or taking on a leadership role. The Emperor encourages us to be organized and disciplined, to think strategically and make decisions with confidence.

On the negative side, the Emperor can represent rigidity and stubbornness, an unwillingness to change or adapt. He can also signify a domineering or controlling personality, someone who is more concerned with maintaining their own power than with the well-being of others.

The Empress:

The Empress is the embodiment of femininity and motherhood. She is depicted as a serene and nurturing figure, seated on a throne surrounded by nature. She wears a crown of stars and holds a scepter in her hand, symbolizing her connection to the divine. The Empress is associated with the element of earth, and she represents fertility, creativity, and abundance.
When the Empress appears in a tarot reading, it can indicate a need to nurture oneself or others. This could mean taking time for self-care, cultivating a creative hobby, or focusing on family and relationships. The Empress encourages us to connect with our intuition and embrace our sensual and emotional nature.

On the negative side, the Empress can represent an overemphasis on material comfort or a lack of boundaries. She can also signify a tendency to be overly emotional or dependent, or a refusal to take responsibility for one’s own well-being.

The Emperor and Empress together:

When the Emperor and Empress appear together in a tarot reading, they can represent a balance of masculine and feminine energy, authority and nurturing. This combination can indicate a harmonious partnership or a situation where both strength and compassion are needed. It can also suggest a need to find balance within oneself, between discipline and creativity, order and spontaneity.

In conclusion, the Emperor and Empress are two powerful archetypes that can offer insight and guidance in our lives. Whether we are being called to assert our authority or nurture ourselves and others, these cards remind us of the importance of balance and harmony in all aspects of our lives.
