Great Britain has a new King! As King Charles III and Queen Camilla were crowned last weekend, let’s look at the Tarot’s four Majestic Men.
In Tarot, the four King cards generally represent authority, leadership and mastery. They are often associated with a dominant male figure, although they can also represent female leaders or influential people in our lives.
King of Wands:
The King of Wands is a fiery and passionate leader. He represents creativity, inspiration and confidence. He is often associated with careers in business, entrepreneurship, or creative fields. For example, if the King of Wands appears in a career reading, it could indicate that you are in a leadership position or have the potential to be a successful entrepreneur.
King of Cups:
The King of Cups represents emotional intelligence and compassion. He is often associated with careers in counselling, therapy or other ‘helping’ professions. He is also a symbol of love, kindness and sensitivity – a father figure. If the King of Cups appears in a love reading, it could indicate that you’re seeking a partner who is emotionally mature and compassionate.
King of Swords:
The King of Swords represents intellect and logical thinking. He’s often associated with careers in law, politics or academia – also the Armed Forces. He is also a symbol of authority and power. For example, if the King of Swords appears in a career reading, it could mean that you’re in a leadership position that requires strategic thinking and decision-making.
King of Pentacles:
The King of Pentacles represents financial stability and material success. He is often associated with careers in finance, real estate or other business fields, and is a symbol of abundance and luxury. If the King of Pentacles appears in a financial reading, it could show you’ll experience financial success or stability in the near future.
Don’t forget that the meanings of Tarot cards can vary depending on the context of the reading and the spread (surrounding cards). These examples are just a starting point for interpreting the King cards in a reading.

The Tarot is made up of 78 cards: 22 ‘Trump’ cards – officially known as the Major Arcana, and 56 Minor Arcana cards. The Trump cards include ones people tend to know about – the ‘sensational ones’ such as the lovers, chariot, the hanged man and death – all positive cards in their own right.
The minor arcana is split into four suits – much like our playing cards today. In fact, our card system stems from the Tarot, and I have had fun reading ordinary playing cards for friends when I haven’t had a tarot deck in my bag!
So what do we know of the number 78? Well, in addition to the 78 cards in a Tarot deck, there are a few other important things that are based on 78:
The atomic number of platinum is 78. Platinum is a precious metal that is widely used in jewellery, electronics, and other industries. Its value is incredibly high, and it’s a beautiful metal. The Tarot cards are also beautiful, and very precious to their owners.
In numerology, which is the study of the spiritual significance of numbers, 78 is associated with success, abundance, and material prosperity. For many people who come to me for a reading, they’re hoping to hear these words featured in their near future. Just being around the Tarot can be fruitful – perhaps one reason for this is the 78 cards!
In days gone by, long before streamed music, CDs, cassettes, or trendy 33 inch vinyl, ‘78’ was a record – the way music was played. Music surrounds us, excites us, calms us – just like the Tarot can do!
The United Nations has 78 member states as of 2023. This international organisation aims to promote peace, security, and cooperation among nations. Many of my clients hope that the Tarot will tell them of peace and security in their lives, along with co-operation from friends, family, colleagues and prospective employers.
Although I’m based in London, I’ve been told that in the United States, the Interstate Highway System covers a total of 78,000 miles. This system of highways connects cities and states throughout the country and plays a critical role in transportation and commerce. The Tarot is a tool of connection too. It connects people who may have been out of touch, it brings together thoughts and ideas, and helps people to form plans, strategies and set personal goals. When I’m using the Tarot as a business coaching tool, it helps the business owners to think outside the box and look at ways to improve their commerce and, ultimately, increase profits.

There is no one specific tarot card that represents divorce, as tarot cards are meant to be interpreted within the context of the individual reading. However, there are certain cards that may suggest challenges, conflicts, or changes in relationships that could potentially lead to a break up.

- The three of Swords: This card looks unpleasant; in the Rider Waite deck it shows a heart pierced by three swords against a backdrop of clouds and rain. - The Tower: This card represents upheaval, chaos, and sudden change. In the context of a relationship reading, it could suggest a major conflict or crisis that could lead to a divorce.

Just before my holiday I was invited to read Tarot at the Holi festival in Romford, at an amazing event organised by the East London and Essex Business Group. It was fantastic!!!! Full of colour, fun, excitement and loads of delicious food stalls, it was exactly the kind of day I love to take part in.
Holi is a Hindu spring festival, also known as the “festival of colours” or the “festival of love.” It is celebrated on the full moon day in the Hindu month of Phalguna (February/March) and signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, and the end of winter.
As you know, Tarot is a form of divination that uses a deck of cards to gain insight and understanding into a person’s past, present, and future. Each card in the Tarot deck has a specific meaning and can be interpreted differently depending on its placement and the surrounding cards.
While there is no direct connection between the Holi festival and Tarot, it is possible to draw parallels between the two. Both celebrate the cyclical nature of life and the continual process of renewal and transformation. The colours used in Holi represent different emotions and moods, and similarly, each card in the Tarot has its own unique symbolism and meaning.
Additionally, both Holi and Tarot offer a means of connecting with one’s inner self and exploring the deeper aspects of one’s consciousness. They encourage us to embrace our authentic selves, let go of the past, and move forward with positivity and optimism.
Ultimately, whether you celebrate Holi, explore Tarot or both, each offers a unique opportunity to connect with yourself and the world around you in a meaningful and transformative way.
